working with you to enhance your health and wellbeing

Care
My approach prioritises personalised care by allowing extra time to listen and discuss you and your family’s needs. Every treatment begins with an in-depth consultation to understand your concerns and develop a tailored treatment plan. Located in a quiet court in Mornington, on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, the clinic offers a tranquil space with a single treatment room, ensuring a peaceful and private experience. A holistic approach to healing is embraced, considering all aspects of wellbeing, to support your journey into wellness.
Holistic
At Peninsula Child and Family Acupuncture, my vision is to enhance your health and well-being through integrated and individualised care. Providing accessible, holistic Chinese medical treatments tailored to your unique needs ensures a balanced approach to healing. By combining traditional wisdom with modern health practices, my goal is to improve your family’s quality of life, empowering them to achieve optimal health and harmony in a supportive and nurturing environment. A holistic approach to healing considers not only physical symptoms but also emotional and mental well-being. Additionally, collaboration with other health care professionals ensures comprehensive, coordinated care.

Quality
Understanding children and the ability to connect with young people is an important part of the healing process. The benefit of visiting Peninsula Child and Family Acupuncture is the experienced practitioner. I have over 25 years' worth of social work experience working with children and young people. I enjoy dividing my week between my role as a primary school social worker, educating the community in Youth Mental Health First Aid, and working at Peninsula Child and Family Acupuncture as a Dr of Acupuncture with a Bachelor Degree in Health Science.

About your Acupuncturist

Knowledge & Experience
With a deep passion for mental well-being, my journey in social work has spanned over 25 years, during which I’ve had the privilege of supporting children, young people, and their families. Delivering Youth Mental Health First Aid training has been especially rewarding, allowing me to share insights and promote early intervention within our community.
Qualifications & Registration
Graduating with distinction in Health Science (Acupuncture) from Endeavour College of Natural Health marked the beginning of a journey rooted in a commitment to holistic care. Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and membership in the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medical Association (AACMA) reinforce a dedication to professional excellence. A Social Work degree from RMIT further enriches this approach, blending traditional healing with compassionate, client-centered support.
My Journey
Inspired by personal and family experiences with natural medicine, I found myself drawn to traditional healing methods. This exploration led me to Chinese medicine and acupuncture—a path that now enriches my work by offering families a broader spectrum of care. Along the way, facilitating OpenSky Qigong sessions has become a wonderful practice, nurturing my own well-being while connecting me with others. I also remain committed to professionalism; maintaining a current Working with Children Check and continuously updating my skills through regular training in First Aid, CPR, and beyond.
